Bassano del Grappa, near the Grappa massif where during the First Word War several battles took place. Bassano is a charming medieval town built on the Brenta riverbanks, climbing the hill up to the former fortress built by Ezzelino. Well-known thanks to the wooden Bridge, a project by Andrea Palladio, Bassano invites to enjoy architecture, views and picturesque corners and is a perfect town for shopping ( the ceramics production starts in the 17th century) as well as for tasting Grappa in all its variations standing on the bridge, like the inhabitants love doing.
